Forrest Hejkal (he/him) is a feral mischief-maker living on the land of his birth in the Huron River watershed. Besides writing poetry, he builds saunas, acts, directs and teaches theater, hosts open mics and pub sings, and plays with his golden retrievers. His in-progress aspirations are guiding wilderness rites of passage, calling contra dances, and becoming an adventure therapist. He loves finding deep connection with the land and waters, and exploring the overwhelming brilliance of being a living thing.
