Alex Wand is a composer and performer whose practice spans songwriting, ecological thought, field recording, and alternate tuning systems. He is currently working on a collection of instrumental compositions for resonator guitar entitled “Rufus’ Retreat.” A Metro Detroit native, he teaches music at the U-M Residential College. For this set he will be joined by Michael Gould, a celebrated percussionist and professor of Music at U-M, and Joe Fee on upright bass.
