Hailing from the Ann Arbor area, the Pontiac Trail Blazers have been the house bluegrass band for Detroit Street Filling Station since 2017. They are often joined by a bevy of special guests and focus on the beautiful harmonies and acoustic prowess that are unique to their Bluegrass roots. With a deep repertoire of traditional standards, originals, and unique covers, the Trail Blazers will keep you guessing with unexpected tunes and arrangements every week.

Joining them this week is Jeremiah Wenger on guitar. Jeremiah is a multi‑instrumentalist from Lowell, Michigan, known for his versatility across roots‑music traditions. As the acoustic guitarist in a driving bluegrass band (Red Thyme), he brings rhythmic precision and haunting melodic solos. In the country scene, he shifts effortlessly from electric guitar to pedal steel, adding rich textures and classic country character with a pinch of rock and roll. Classically trained on the upright bass, he also plays in an old‑time string band. Across all of his projects, Jeremiah’s musicianship, adaptability, and love for music make him a standout collaborator in the Midwest community.
