Greg Austill ft. Critter Ruwart

  • North Star Lounge 301 N. Fifth Ave Ann Arbor United States (map)

Greg Austill is an Indie Folk Artist from Otisville, Michigan. From a young age, gospel and bluegrass music were a heavy influence on his musical direction, eventually leading to a love of Folk/Americana music. Priding himself on raw and authentic writing and performance style, Greg connects with his audience through original songs as well as thoughtfully arranged cover songs.

Over the past few years, He has had the honor of working with some of his greatest influences in the music industry. Including Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Philip Bowen, and Will Overman.  Spending more and more time networking and working with other artists, he has honed his skills and works diligently to connect with audiences on a personal level with his signature "sad song" style.
Greg released his first single on all streaming platforms in October 2024, and has released three more since then, including “Hides & Skulls” with Critter Ruwart. He is currently working on his first LP which is expected to be released in 2027.

For this set, Greg will be joined by Critter Ruwart, a Michigan folk band rooted in authentic story telling and rhythmic instrumentation.

Born from two brothers’ search for meaning, Critter Ruwart makes music that feels like a conversation—raw, warm, and genrebending. Their harmonies carry the weight of family and the spark of rebellion, weaving countryfolk narratives with unexpected instrumentation. Onstage, they turn values into atmosphere, inviting audiences into something real.
