A powerhouse guitarist, songwriter, and singer from the Philadelphia area. Drawing inspiration from bluesmen like Skip James, Mississippi John Hurt, Magic Sam, and Elmore James. He also draws inspiration from jazz, folk, outlaw country, and soul music. With a voice that has been compared to Frank Sinatra, he is known to soulfully belt while finger-picking like Doc Watson. James has been touring regionally, up and down the East Coast and beyond, performing original songs and choice covers from the blues, folk, and soul catalogs. Even getting the chance to open up for Willie Watson (of Old Crow Medicine Show) in April of 2024 at the famed West Virginia venue The Purple Fiddle, which has hosted James quite a few times.
